QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Get to know Tombi.
One question at a time.
Straight answers about everyday use, privacy, and what is still being developed.
What exactly is Tombi?

Tombi is the personal AI assistant. The pendant and phone app are ways to connect with it; the green character represents the assistant. The aim is everyday assistance through natural conversation.
Ask a question → hear a response through the pendant.
Do I need to be good with technology?

The design puts ordinary speech first, so everyday use does not depend on composing prompts or navigating a tiny screen. Setup, permissions, and some controls still involve an app. The exact onboarding steps will be explained before purchase.
Speak naturally → confirm what matters → continue your day.
Do I still need a phone and an app?

The current design connects the pendant with the Tombi mobile app. Spoken interaction reduces screen work; it does not mean every function operates independently of a phone. Supported phones, connection requirements, and setup steps are still to be confirmed.
App for setup and permitted connections → pendant for everyday voice interaction.
What happens without a signal?

Offline spoken reminders are part of the development plan and have been described as in testing. Do not assume that live answers, translation, or contact alerts work without the necessary connection. A clear feature-by-feature offline guide is needed before launch.
A saved reminder is different from a question that needs current information.
Do I have to tell Tombi what to do every time?

Tombi is designed to use confirmed plans, preferences, and context to offer relevant next steps. That does not mean acting without limits: proposed reminders need your OK, and you can decline or correct a suggestion. Self-learning ranking remains planned.
Mention a plan → review a suggestion → say yes or no.
What happens to other people’s speech?

The design aims to exclude non-wearer speech from retained personal context, through its privacy and redaction approach. Brief capture and processing can still occur, and errors are possible. The privacy page explains the intended stages, limits, and consent issues.
Check whether the wearer is speaking → exclude non-wearer speech from retained context.
Can my family read my conversations?

No. Your conversations and memos are not shared. Invite up to five people to your circle, then choose location access for each person. They can receive help alerts through the free app without owning a pendant. Buying Tombi for someone does not automatically grant access.
Choose the person → choose the category → review what they can see.
How does a translated conversation work?

Ask for a language, speak, and hear the translation. The other person replies through the pendant and Tombi translates back. The feature plan covers 19 languages. Explain the feature and obtain any required permission because translation intentionally processes their words.
Your words → spoken translation → their reply → translation back to you.
Are daily trends a medical assessment?

No. The feature is intended to describe patterns in your routine, compared with your own usual activity. Missing observations should remain visible as gaps. It is not a diagnosis, and supported measurements and accuracy need to be explained before release.
Compare your own weeks → notice a change → decide what it means for you.
Will Tombi contact emergency services?

The current concept describes fall detection and a hold-to-call gesture that alert a designated contact. It does not promise automatic emergency-service dispatch or a staffed response center. Detection, connectivity, delivery, and response limitations will be specified before launch.
Hold the help control → intended alert to your chosen contact.
How much will it cost?

Hardware pricing, any subscription, cancellation terms, and included services have not been announced yet. Those details should be clear before orders open; no purchase or payment is available here.
Before ordering: review the device price, ongoing costs, and what is included.
When can I order, and what is finished?

The target release date is April 16, 2027. Milestones 1–13 are reported complete, with 14–17 targeted for October 2026. Future dates remain targets, and the progress page separates completed work from planned work.
Completed work → next build → validation → launch.
