Different formats can carry the same information

A private detail can appear in a sound recording, a transcript, or a summary. Removing the original audio does not necessarily remove that detail from the other formats.

The question is what remains

Tombi’s redaction design aims to keep other people’s speech out of retained personal context. The privacy page separates brief capture, processing, and storage, and explains why the precise point of redaction matters.

Detection is not permission

Privacy protection signals can inform filtering, but they do not establish another person’s consent. Live translation is a clear example: the feature intentionally processes another participant’s words, and should be explained to them.

A draft should say it is a draft

Our privacy page identifies unresolved operational details instead of presenting them as settled promises. The full release policy must match the actual product, its providers, and its retention and deletion behavior. Read that page for the technical explanation and legal sources.
